SUMMARY ----------------------------------------------------------------

The user ID entered in the password screen belongs to a user who is
registered as currently using the software. If you are working on a
network and have already logged into the program on another
workstation, you must exit there prior to logging in at another
station. It is possible, after a system crash or abnormal exit from the
program, for a user to be registered in the system even though they are
not actually using the software. A special program called USERSOFF is
provided to externally log out users if this should happen.

CORRECTION -------------------------------------------------------------

To log out a single user:

1) Exit OM (or CM). (If you are stuck at the password screen, press 
<F9> to return to the system prompt or your menu program.

2) Exit from all programs, menus, shells, etc so that the cursor is at
the system prompt, which may look something like:

C:\>

Be sure you are on the drive that contains your data files. If not,
type in the drive letter followed by a colon and <ENTER>, for
example:

D: <ENTER>

3) Change to the correct data directory, such as \OM or \CM\MAINDATA by
typing CD followed by the name of the desired directory:

CD \OM <ENTER> ... or ...
CD \CM\MAINDATA <ENTER>

4) Now type USERSOFF followed by the ID you want to log out of the
program. Optionally, you can also specify whether you wish to log
the ID out of OM, CM, or both. Here are some examples:

USERSOFF SRK <ENTER> User ID of SRK will be logged out of OM
USERSOFF SRK /C <ENTER> User ID of SRK will be logged out of CM
USERSOFF SRK /OC <ENTER> User ID of SRK will be logged out of both

WARNING ----------------------------------------------------------------

Do NOT use the USERSOFF program to log out a user when they are still
using the program. In addition, do not exit through the DOS Shell option
on the EXIT menu and log out yourself. Use the normal Exit to DOS
selection, log everyone out, then restart the program normally.
